This construction manual belongs to a terrarium we designed and built ourselves, which we use for medium-sized chameleons. The external dimensions of the terrarium are 65 cm deep, 110 cm wide and 180 cm high. Silver anodized aluminum profiles of 20 x 20 mm were used for the basic structure. The bottom, one side, and the back wall are made of 10 mm Forex (hard foam boards). The door is hinged on the left and can be fully unhinged. It extends over the entire front of the terrarium so that good access to all areas of the terrarium is possible. The entire door, one side, and the entire lid are made of aluminum gauze. As always, we do not guarantee that we have not miscalculated anywhere in the plan. All profiles with webs should be ordered directly with miter cuts.<\/div>\n

The cost of all materials is about 700 \u20ac. The terrarium was built at the end of 2021. At that time, all materials were about 30% more expensive than before the Corona pandemic. Due to the pandemic, we had to change manufacturers or suppliers, which also meant a difference in price compared to the terrariums built up to that point and partly presented in the building instructions<\/a> section. Also note: All aluminium profiles should be mitred to size. You can deburr the profiles yourself or have this done directly during cutting, but this costs usually extra.<\/div>\n
