Directement apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;accouplement, la femelle ne veut plus rien avoir \u00e0 faire avec le m\u00e2le. \u00c0 Madagascar, l&rsquo;accouplement et la grossesse ont toujours lieu pendant la saison des pluies, entre octobre et avril selon les r\u00e9gions. Dans les terrariums hors de Madagascar, il est cependant possible que des cam\u00e9l\u00e9ons deviennent enceintes et pondent des \u0153ufs m\u00eame en dehors de ces mois. La dur\u00e9e de la grossesse varie selon les diff\u00e9rentes esp\u00e8ces de cam\u00e9l\u00e9ons &#8211; tu peut trouver des informations \u00e0 ce sujet dans les descriptions des esp\u00e8ces dans \u00ab\u00a0<em>Cam\u00e9l\u00e9ons &amp; Donn\u00e9es sur l&rsquo;habitat\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>. Chez de nombreuses esp\u00e8ces de cam\u00e9l\u00e9ons, les femelles pr\u00e9sentent rapidement une coloration de grossesse distincte, tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rente de la coloration normale.<\/p>\n<div follicules m\u00fbrissent sur les ovaires de la femelle d\u00e9j\u00e0 avant l&rsquo;accouplement. Au moment de l&rsquo;ovulation, les follicules se rompent et laissent \u00e9chapper les ovules, qui sont ensuite absorb\u00e9s par les trompes de Fallope. La f\u00e9condation des ovules femelles par le sperme du cam\u00e9l\u00e9on m\u00e2le a lieu dans la trompe de Fallope peu apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;accouplement. L&rsquo;\u00e9pith\u00e9lium des deux trompes de Fallope assure maintenant la formation de la membrane de l&rsquo;ovule. Apr\u00e8s quelques jours, le calcium commence \u00e0 s&rsquo;accumuler sur la membrane de l&rsquo;\u0153uf. Ce processus se poursuit jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce que la membrane de l&rsquo;\u0153uf soit compl\u00e8tement recouverte d&rsquo;une fine coquille de chaux. Chez les cam\u00e9l\u00e9ons, les \u0153ufs sont \u00e0 coquille molle et non pas dure comme chez les oiseaux ou les tortues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lorsqu&rsquo;elles se nourrissent, les femelles peuvent obtenir un peu plus dans le dernier tiers de la grossesse. Avant la grossesse, il faut s&rsquo;abstenir de trop s&rsquo;alimenter, car cela peut entra\u00eener d&rsquo;\u00e9normes ponctions d&rsquo;\u0153ufs, ce qui affaiblit \u00e9norm\u00e9ment la femelle. Tout au long de la grossesse, une attention particuli\u00e8re doit \u00eatre accord\u00e9e \u00e0 la suppl\u00e9mentation, car la teneur en vitamines des ovules d\u00e9pend directement de l&rsquo;apport en vitamines de la m\u00e8re. En outre, il faut plus de calcium pendant la grossesse pour construire les coquilles d&rsquo;\u0153uf. Des \u00e9tudes montrent \u00e9galement qu&rsquo;un apport optimal de rayonnement UV-B \u00e0 l&rsquo;animal m\u00e8re am\u00e9liore le succ\u00e8s d&rsquo;\u00e9closion d&rsquo;une couv\u00e9e d&rsquo;\u0153ufs.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Periode_de_gestation\"><\/span>P\u00e9riode de gestation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les femelles de diff\u00e9rentes esp\u00e8ces de cam\u00e9l\u00e9ons sont gravides pour des dur\u00e9es diff\u00e9rentes. Moins tu d\u00e9range la femelle, moins il y aura de probl\u00e8mes pour pondre. Les femelles jeunes et inexp\u00e9riment\u00e9es, en particulier, effectuent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement des fouilles d&rsquo;essai quelques jours avant la ponte proprement dite. Ils creusent des trous mais ne pondent pas d&rsquo;\u0153ufs. Ce comportement est normal et dispara\u00eet avec l&rsquo;augmentation de l&rsquo;\u00e2ge et du nombre de grossesses. Lorsque le bon endroit est enfin trouv\u00e9 &#8211; de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence entre les racines &#8211; la femelle creuse un trou profond. Si le trou est suffisamment profond, la femelle se retourne et regarde g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement \u00e0 travers le trou avec sa t\u00eate, tandis qu&rsquo;elle pond les \u0153ufs l&rsquo;un apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;autre. Apr\u00e8s avoir pondu les \u0153ufs, la femelle se retourne \u00e0 nouveau et referme soigneusement le trou creus\u00e9. Les feuilles sont \u00e9galement pouss\u00e9es sur le lieu de ponte, de sorte qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;est plus possible de voir o\u00f9 se trouvent les \u0153ufs par la suite. Ce comportement fait partie du processus de ponte, la femelle ne doit pas \u00eatre d\u00e9rang\u00e9e. Si tu as regard\u00e9 attentivement dans le terrarium entre-temps, tu save au mieux d\u00e9j\u00e0 o\u00f9 regarder plus tard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chez certaines esp\u00e8ces comme <em>Furcifer lateralis<\/em>, on sait que certaines femelles laissent tomber librement une partie des \u0153ufs dans le terrarium au lieu de les enterrer. A Madagascar, nous n&rsquo;avons pas encore observ\u00e9 de tels comportements. Les cam\u00e9l\u00e9ons terrestres (<em>Brookesia ssp<\/em>.) ne pondent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement qu&rsquo;un ou deux \u0153ufs, qu&rsquo;ils n&rsquo;enterrent pas mais qu&rsquo;ils cachent sous des morceaux d&rsquo;\u00e9corce ou des feuilles. Pour un cam\u00e9l\u00e9on, la ponte des \u0153ufs est tr\u00e8s fatigante. Il convient donc de laisser la femelle se reposer m\u00eame apr\u00e8s la ponte, de lui fournir une alimentation compl\u00e9mentaire et de veiller \u00e0 ce qu&rsquo;elle puisse boire \u00e0 volont\u00e9.
