Expedition Blog Day 18 & 19: Montagne d’Ambre – Diego Suarez – Ramena

The last two days of our expedition have begun. We enjoy one last short walk in the rainforest of Montagne d’Ambre before setting off for Diego Suarez (Antsiranana). However, we only make a brief stop in this large city, which is still strongly influenced by the colonial era. Our actual destination is the small fishing village of Ramena, where we relax by the pool and reflect on our journey. Just one day later, we fly back from Diego to the capital Antananarivo. In Tana, there is still time to stock up on spices, souvenirs, rum and the famous THB. Then it’s time to say ‘Veloma, namako’. We say goodbye and board the plane to Europe.
