Off we go into the rainforest again today. A striped anteater runs right in front of us – incidentally, these tiny creatures may look a bit like hedgehogs, but they aren’t even related to them. And alongside the many shield-tailed lizards sitting everywhere amongst the leaves, curiously observing their surroundings, we finally spot an adult Parsons’ chameleon high up in a tree. It’s a large female and she’s completely relaxed. We’re able to photograph her at our leisure, weigh her, measure her and, of course, release her back into her…
