In 2026, we held our first in-depth series of lectures in collaboration with mVet exotics medicine. The focus, of course, is on the chameleon as a patient. A further session is planned and will be announced here as soon as the date is confirmed.
The entire lecture series takes place online and can be accessed from the comfort of your own home. We talk about the basics such as anatomy and physiology, but also look at the different species of chameleons kept in German-speaking countries. Of course, we will also cover everything you need for your practice: How do I advise patient owners on husbandry and how do I recognise classic husbandry problems? How does chameleon-safe handling work, what is physiological and what is not? What is the best way to x-ray a chameleon and can you actually do a fluorescein test on a chameleon? Finally, we will look at the most common surgeries and demonstrate them step by step. And after that, you will certainly be fit for your first chameleon patient – or be able to take better care of your existing patients!
In addition, there is a unique online reference guide with over 100 pages dedicated solely to chameleon medicine, which you can access from home at any time and keep for as long as you like.
Our first big lecture series is in German only – sorry to all English speaking colleagues, maybe we will plan a foreign course for later.
